Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check in and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at your hotel. Optional excursion to the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Elephant Trust and/ or the Karen Blixen museum is available upon request.
Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Today depending on the flight schedule you will transfer from Wilson Airport to Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will be met on arrival at the Airstrip and transferred in shared vehicle to your accommodation. Spend rest of the day in Masai Mara National Reserve with scheduled game drives in shared vehicle. You may encounter some of the “Big Five” and you will most certainly be impressed by the wide variety of species present in this area. The Maasai Mara has the highest concentration of land mammals compared to any other park or reserve in Kenya. Enjoy your meals and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 3 – 5: Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend three days in Masai Mara National Reserve with scheduled game drives in shared vehicle. The Mara is more than just the most popular wildlife park in the country and in many cases, it is the reason why people come to visit Kenya. This is a classic African savanna, and the sheer density of wildlife is amazing. You will encountered endangered species and visit conservation organizations working in the Mara. You will also get exposure about the Maa community and how they have coexisted with wildlife for a long time. All meals and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve – Lumo Wildlife Conservancy
Take early morning scheduled game drive in Maasai Mara followed by breakfast. After breakfast, spend rest of the morning at leisure until time for early lunch at the accommodation. After lunch, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ikanga Airstrip. You will be met on arrival at the Airstrip and transferred in Lodge shared vehicle to your Lodge. Spend rest of the day in Lumo Wildlife Conservancy with scheduled game drives in Lodge shared vehicle. All meals and overnight at your accommodation
Day 7-8: Lumo Wildlife Conservancy
Spend this two days undertaking scheduled game drives in shared vehicles as you experience the conservation efforts here. You will have close encounter with endangered wildlife for example the rhinos. You will enjoy your evenings and all meals and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 9: Lumo Wildlife Conservancy – Nairobi
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your charter flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for international flight back home. You could also opt to do some souvenir shopping or go to a City hotel / restaurant for lunch (extra cost) or even ask us to book you a day room at a City hotel so you can relax / freshen up as you prepare to go to the airport for your international flight.
