Along the way, we’ll pass the country’s tallest peak, snow-capped Mt. Kenya. In Samburu, you’ll find abundant wildlife as the reserve features plenty of the big cats and over 900 elephants. Neighboring Shaba and Buffalo Springs offer a dramatic choice of scenic terrain – from riverine forests to old lava flows to marshes and springs. There’s so much variety of wildlife and landscape awaiting you on this short 3-day adventure, so it is a worthwhile treat.

Samburu National Reserve is somewhat off the beaten path, so you’ll enjoy a wild game park with fewer tourists. And you’ll be treated to the sight of such unique creatures as Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich which comprise of the northern white species.

Your safari also includes visits to neighboring reserves; Buffalo Springs features a volcanic landscape broken up by forest and marsh. At Shaba National Reserve you’ll find a greener landscape with forests, woodlands and even the iconic Shaba Hill Volcano. Combined, these three parks are a visual feast of scenic terrain and wildlife.
