Entebbe is one of Uganda’s main towns and a more of a residential area hence no much traffic is expected.
Day 2: Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
A long drive would be involved today hence an early rise is advisable for departure by 0700 hrs. The drive will be beside Uganda’s Capital city, Kampala and through the local Villages on a good road to arrive at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary by 1130 hrs at the very latest. Proceed on for check-in procedures and track the Rhinos on foot. This is the only place that boasts Rhinos in Uganda and certainly worth a visit!!! Here you get to watch and get at a close safe distance to the Southern White Rhino with your local well trained ranger. This activity takes about 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs. Pick up and transferred to hotel for a late lunch. At about 1500 hrs drive on to Murchison Falls National Park to arrive at your accommodation late in the evening. Enjoy dinner and overnight here.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
This is arguably one of Uganda’s best park with variety to offer i.e. from river cruises along the River Nile to Chimpanzee tracking in the nearby Budongo Forest alongside the game drives in the park. Wildlife include elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Oribi, bushbuck, Uganda Kob, Bohor reedbuck, spotted hyena and if lucky you could even spot the leopard amongst others. You will engage in any of this activities as you watch varies wildlife.
Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park
Start your game drive in early morning towards the ‘Nile Delta’ where the river flows into Lake Albert. This is the best area of the park for game viewing. Your guide will have a ‘packed lunch’ and enough drinking water with him. After lunch you will engage in launch cruise again viewing lots of wildlife. You will see many hippos in the water and some of the largest crocodiles in Africa ‘sun bathing’ on the river banks as well as elephants, buffaloes and other mammals coming down to the river to drink. Wind up with about 1 hr to 1.5 hrs optional trek up the spectacular Murchison Waterfalls. Here, the Nile water drops 44 meters down through a 7 meter wide gap. An astonishing display of Mother Nature’s power and one of Uganda’s most spectacular sights. All meals and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 5: Lake Albert
Take breakfast at your lodge and check-out. Thereafter you will be transferred to the chimpanzee trek base in the Budongo Forest. After a brief orientation depart for the Chimpanzee trekking with your local ranger to see these amazing creatures closest to us. Like us, chimps are highly social animals, care for their offspring for years and can live to be over 50 years. In their habitat in the forests, chimpanzees spend most of their days in the tree tops. Chimps usually travel on all fours, though they can walk on their legs like humans for as far as a mile. They use sticks to fish termites out of mounds and bunches of leaves to sop up drinking water. The trek easily takes about 3 -4 hrs. Enjoy a packed lunch thereafter and proceed on to Lake Albert. Check-in into your accommodation and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You may enjoy a bush dinner in the wilderness weather permitting.
Day 6: Kibale Rainforest National Park
After breakfast depart for Kibale National Park the home for the largest Chimpanzee population in Uganda to arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. This drive will take you approximately 5 hrs. In the afternoon depart for a guided walk in the Bigodi Swamp excellent for birders as well as other primates. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 7: Kibale rainforest National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast proceed on for Chimpanzee in the Kibale Rainforest National Park and back to the lodge for lunch. Thereafter drive on to Queen Elizabeth National Park which will be about 3 hrs drive. Rest of the afternoon / evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation

Take breakfast followed by an extensive morning game drive. Return for hot lunch at the lodge. Early afternoon relax by the pool and at 1600 hrs depart for about 2 hrs boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel about 32 Kilometers long connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. It is perfect for birders as well as wildlife enthusiasts as it attracts animals such as buffalos amongst others. All meals and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game and breakfast. Thereafter depart for Ishasha area famous for its tree climbing lions that can sometimes be spotted resting in the branches of the large fig trees. Arrive at your camp set along a river in time for lunch. Take afternoon game drive at your convenience. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After morning wake up teas / coffees, check-out from your accommodation and depart for a morning game drive and with a bit of luck you may spot the tree climbing lions. Ishasha Wilderness organizes a fantastic bush-breakfast which is always a different experience in the wilderness. Thereafter proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which will take you about 3 hours drive to arrive at your accommodation in time for late lunch. Spend rest of the afternoon at leisure in preparation for the Gorilla trek next morning. Dinner and overnight at your lodge
Day 11: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early breakfast at your lodge followed by transfer to the park reception – for check-in/registration of your Bwindi Forest gorilla trek adventure. The largest of the great apes, gorillas are stocky animals with broad chests and shoulders, large, human-like hands and small eyes set into hairless faces. Gorillas display many human-like behaviors and emotions, such as laughter and sadness. They even make their own tools to help them survive in the forest. In fact, gorillas share 98.3% of their genetic code with humans, making them our closest cousins after chimpanzees and bonobos. After the trek, drive back to your accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Same program as above but always advisable to trek another family as experiences are always different. In the afternoon you may take a self-guided walk in the nearby town which is quite safe or bird walk. Meals and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 13: Entebbe
After breakfast you will be transferred to Kihihi airstrip (drive takes approx… 2 hours) to catch your light schedule flight to Entebbe departing at 1020 hours (baggage allowance is strictly 15 kg in soft sided duffel bags). Upon arrival at 1125 hours, you will be transferred to your hotel for day room use. Thereafter drop off at Entebbe International Airport for outbound departure.
